NPCC invited to meet Friends of Poland in The Parliament

November 21, 2019

Norwegian-Polish Chamber of Commerce, NPCC was invited on  November 19th to the Norwegian Parliament, Stortinget to meet the leaders and members of its informal Friends of Poland Group they have there.

Three of the nine members of the Friends of Poland Group were able to attend the meeting and from NPCC were the president Ewa Danela Burdon and member of the board Hans Christian Faerden present.

The politicians were representing The Progressive Party and The Labour Party. They all seemed to agree that Poland is of special interest for Norway given the vast mutual trade between Norway and Poland. But they also see Poland as an important player in a geographical part of Europe that Norway culturally belongs to, Eastern Europe, the Baltic countries and Germany.

There is no doubt that the Poland-Norway relations will be more important than ever in the years to come, and it was decided to do what we can to strengthen the ties between the Friends of Poland Group and NPCC. The months of November and December are politically very active, however in January we will be able to meet again.
