Remontowa Shipbuilding SA in Gdansk christened the ship Siem Aimery

Wednesday, April 27, in the shipyard Remontowa Shipbuilding SA in Gdansk christened the ship Siem Aimery, which on the same day in the evening sailed on his first cruise. Thus, one of the most difficult and the most advanced projects in recent years in the Polish shipbuilding industry came to an end.

In a modest ceremony in Gdansk was attended by 30 representatives of the Norwegian company and a board of directors, managers, employees and collaborators Remontowa Shipbuilding.

Lars Muck from the company Siem Offshore Contractors thanked the Polish partners for bringing to a happy finale of building this innovative ship, which – as he said – will be the “star in the booming market for offshore renewable energy.” Karin Nooljen Muck, godmother of the vessel Siem Aimery, practiced motion cut the rope release a bottle of champagne, which at full speed crashed on the side.

Cable layer, the media have already dubbed as the “Mercedes of ships” on the same day in on 6 pm. set off on his first cruise to Dunkirk, where it will be loaded on the cable, which will then be laid on the seabed.
